2000 Korbel Champagne
Here is a bottle of Champagne created in the year 2000. It is called the Millenium Champagne. We are not sure if it is worth anything or not. Either way it is pretty cool. I know the pictures are not too clear although you can still see the markings that signify this as a Millenium Bottle of Korbel Champagne.

Hey Conrad, I don’t think they will go bad. I have met (through email) a champagne cover collector. I will see if he is interested in purchasing yours. I will email you if he is.

I have the 12L Korbel Millennium Commemorative Cuvee. Only 2000 were made and were sold for $2000 each, and probably very few remain un-opened. It even got a special case and a certificate. I’m trying to buy a new house so if anyone wants to buy this extremely rare item, e-mail me.

I have a bottle of Korbel Natural Champagne. Extremely dry. It is serial number D230027.It was produced to commemorate their 100th annivesary. I bought it several years ago but cannot find any information on it. Any idea what it is worth?

i also have a 750ml korbel blanc de noirs with the gold label. it also says time square 2000 and appears to have a serial number not just a barcode.. is there anywhere we can find more info about this?

This week we opened my last bottle of Korbel Millenium Champagne. It was a good thing. The cork had dried and it was losing its fizz!

Do you still have the metal top that was on top of the cork? Can you take a picture of it? There are rare ones that have a special metal ‘cap’ in them and not the standard one.

The bottle pictured and listed here is a Millenium Bottle, although it did not have the metal cap under the foil that makes it a collector’s item. The champagne cap collector offered my father $200 for just the cap alone.
So, to answer the what it is worth question, I am not sure, although Korbel seemed to make it even more difficult by putting the collector cap on only a few bottles and not all.
I am still researching this, although my current work schedule has made it difficult to devote the time to this site I want to. I will post with answers as I find them though.

I too have this bottle, but mine came with a special year 2000 cloth jacket that went around the bottle. I have no idea what it is worth.

Unfortunately you will not know if it is worth anything until you remove the foil. There is a tin ‘cap’ that determines if the bottle is worth anything or not. We had a guy pay us $100 to see if what the cap was. When I opened the foil it was a standard Korbel cap. Not a limited edition one. My opinion would be to hold on to it.
